Despite the strong winds and constant rain today's Wings and Wheels event at Wickenby was a thoroughly enjoyable show and i was amazed with what actually did manage to get airbourne and display including some very impressive radio controlled aircraft that managed to defy the gale force winds. The sun did actually bother to put in appearance but it was right at the end of the show typically. Hopefully they'll have better weather tomorrow. Here's two sets from a very wet and windy Wickenby Airshow -
Thankfully the terrible weather we've been having calmed down a bit in time for the Cosford Airshow although it was a dark cloudy day until towards the end of the show. Full marks to the organisers for wheeling out some of RAF Cosfords training airframes outside. The taxy down the runway from the Jaguar and the four other Jags in the static area was a very nice touch. The VC-10 appearance was also a great bonus. We won't be seeing that many more times sadly. Here's some pretty grey and dark pics -
I had a fantastic day at the Old Buckingham airshow today, some heavy rain to start and was very windy all day but it got out nice in time for the flying, loads of people there too pics to follow.
